My generation is so unique—we’ve always tried to look for
ways to get more out of life. So when my kids were grown,
I still wanted to do something meaningful. I started a group
devoted to helping Boomer women find the next thing in life.
I find it very fulfilling. We connect women with the resources
they need to start second careers, go green, be a good
grandparent, or even find help caring for their own elderly
parents. One thing I also know: No matter what Boomers
need intellectually and spiritually, we also need to stay healthy.
Exercise is a must. And a healthy diet. Around my house, we
really enjoy dried fruits from Sunsweet—a snack loaded in
antioxidants. We also enjoy PlumSmart Light, which is low in
sugar. It’s perfect for my daughter and husband, who are
both diabetics. The key to living longer is staying vital.
Boomers can set quite an example for other generations.
I’m happy to be a part of that.

I wouldn't call myself a "boomer" per se, but I'm quickly finding myself, and my body, not as young (almost 40), spry and resilient as it once was. Keeping regular and maintaining good digestive health seems to be a growing consideration, and of course with aging comes worrying about my overall health and well being. I've started exercising more regularly, and have essentially cut out "bad snacks," mostly in favor of Sunsweet prunes. I was one of those "Prunes?? YUCK!!" people. I was also one of those "Never tried them" people. And once I actually took the leap, I was blown away... I've been a picky eater my whole life, so for me to find a snack that's so ridiculously good for you that actually tastes great, it was the coup of all coups.
Thanks Sunsweet!!
