People like to say, “you are what you eat.” But the truth is, you
are so much more than that! Twenty-five years of studying
nutrition has taught me that. Diet is just one aspect of a
balanced lifestyle. Exercise regularly, make time for yourself,
and forget the fad diets and you are on your way to better
health. I recommend starting the day with a good breakfast
that includes protein (eggs) and a glass of PlumSmart—you
can’t go wrong with all those vitamins and fiber. From there,
eat a balance of foods from the four basic food groups and
count those calories! For snacking, Sunsweet dried fruits are
a good way to go.
Once you incorporate healthy eating into a holistic approach
to health and wellness, you’ll feel a whole lot better. I’ve seen
it happen time after time with my patients. My philosophy is, “Everything in moderation—including the moderation.” Life is about living! Balance food, exercise and socializing, and you’ll
end up a happy individual. That’s what it’s all about, right?
