A few years back, I got Melanoma. I was determined to not let it get the best of me, so I continued my livelihood of farming prunes. As it happens, I sit on the Board of Directors at Sunsweet and helped develop PlumSmart fresh plum juice for Digestive Health. Like a lot of other people fighting cancer, I tended to get constipated from all the medications. Now I know first hand how great PlumSmart is because it really helped me with my constipation, and unlike 'taking' medicine, this is actually something I enjoy. It looks good, it tastes good and my wife and I drink a glass every morning.

If you want to share how you're dealing with your cancer, or the side effects, drop us a line - or I guess what folks call a 'blog' today. Anything that keeps me back on my tractor doing what I love doing, I sure do want to know about it.

I’m an oncology nurse and Hans Smith is one of my patients. People battling cancer are some of the bravest people I’ve ever met. If I can help ease their burden—even by just being there to listen—it’s all worth it. In a typical day, I see between ten and twelve patients progressing through various phases of chemotherapy. One of the side effects during treatment can be constipation. Hans introduced me to PlumSmart, and I now recommend it to my other patients. Healthy eating is a must at a time when your body is trying to heal. PlumSmart keeps my patients regular so they can focus on appreciating life and beating a challenge. Many of my patients survive their illness. Some, of course, don’t. I want to be there for all of them. As I see it, there’s nothing I can think of that would be more important. Or more rewarding.
